By becoming a Novelcrafter affiliate, you’ll have the opportunity to earn commissions while introducing your audience to our cutting-edge writing platform.

Why Partner with Novelcrafter?

• Earn commissions on every referral: We offer a 20% commission rate, which might not be as high as others, but that allows us to keep our pricing as low as possible.
• Promote a product you believe in and use yourself: As an active Novelcrafter user, you can genuinely recommend our platform to your audience.
• Access exclusive affiliate resources and support: We offer special integrations and tools to help you succeed (contact us for more information).

Eligibility Requirements

To ensure a mutually beneficial partnership, we have established the following criteria for our affiliate program. Successful applicants should meet these requirements:

1. Active Novelcrafter Account: We only accept partners who are familiar with and actively use our platform. This allows you to provide authentic recommendations and insights to your audience.

   If you don’t have an account yet, please sign up for a free trial beforehand. After your trial period, you can apply for the affiliate program. In case you’re not a user yet, the application will be dismissed until you have an active account.

   This also requires that you have an active subscription to Novelcrafter to maintain your affiliate status. We reserve the right to revoke affiliate status if you cancel your subscription for an extended period.

2. Relevant Channel or Funnel: Your primary audience should be interested in writing, whether for novels, screenplays, or theatre. This could be through:

   • A YouTube channel
   • A newsletter
   • A blog or website
   • A podcast
   • An online course
   • Social media platform(s)

3. Quality Content: We look for partners who have demonstrated their expertise through:

   • Tutorials or guides on writing-related topics
   • Reviews of writing tools and resources
   • Educational content for aspiring authors

4. Active Social Presence: Maintain a consistent and engaged following across your chosen platforms. We value partners who regularly interact with their audience and post content frequently.

   This does not mean you need to have a large following or a frequent upload schedule. We’re more interested in the quality of your content and the engagement of your audience.

Important Notes

• You can read our terms of service for affiliates here. We reseve the right to revoke affiliate status at any time if we find that you are violating our terms.
• We do not work with affiliate aggregates, listicle sites, or distributors. We prefer to establish direct relationships with our partners.
• Our “no special offers” policy means that affiliate links do not provide discounts to users. We maintain consistent pricing across all channels. There’s no advantage to using an affiliate link other than supporting the partner.

Do I need an active subscription to be an affiliate?

If you produce a series of tutorials or more than one article on Novelcrafter and then stop being an active subscriber, we’ll evaluate whether it was simply meant to drive people to your affiliate link or if your content provides actual value to the reader. As we deal with our partners “by hand” (and not via automated processes), the outcome may vary.

While we understand that the practice to require a subscription might be uncommon, we have decided on it for the following reasons:

1. We already offer very competitive pricing. If people ask to be affiliates and simply put a link to our software on their website without actively using it, they can’t effectively evaluate its features, including updates over time.

2. Many of our affiliate partners have active YouTube channels, private courses, or consulting sessions for people who need help with Novelcrafter. This creates a healthier community and ecosystem of users actually recommending the product to others. Some of our partners have built full courses or eBooks on writing (with Novelcrafter) that have very satisfied students - so an affiliate link makes a lot of sense in those cases.

3. We don’t require you to have an active subscription for all 12 months of the year. All tools change, but if you only used Novelcrafter for a month or two and then stopped using our product for a full year, we don’t see much value in continuing the partnership.

   However, you can come back sporadically and produce new content about new features or workflows you’ve discovered or developed. We also offer the option to pause your subscription, so you only need to pay for when you actively use our platform.

Am I a Good Fit?

We understand that not every writer or content creator will be a perfect match for our affiliate program. To help you determine if this opportunity is right for you, we’ve provided a few examples below:

How can I provide value if there are no discounts?

We understand that many affiliate programs offer discounts to incentivize users to purchase through their links. However, we believe that our product’s value speaks for itself, and we prefer to maintain consistent pricing across all channels.

As an alternative, we provide a way for affiliates to offer additional value to their audience through exclusive content, tutorials, or resources that showcase the benefits of Novelcrafter.
