Can I provide samples of my writing for AI to mimic?

How to guide AI with your own writing samples to copy your writing style.

Yes! You absolutely can put samples of your writing into Novelcrafter in order to ‘train’ the AI on your style. You may want to use a custom preset with this to further direct the AI, but we will provide that in this article.

  1. Add the following prompt preset to your library:

    Add writing sample preset
  2. Create a new snippet, give it a name (e.g. writing sample), and add your writing to it. Create a snippet to include a writing sample
  3. In the manuscript, create a scene beat, and select Your Writing Style > Tweak and Generate . A modal will appear. Selecting prompt preset
  4. Add your snippet to the Context , select an AI model, then click Generate Setting up prompt settings
