Chat with your Novel

The Workshop also includes a section for chatting with your novel. This is a great way to get to know your characters better, and to get inspiration for your story.

If you combine this with your own custom AI prompts, you can have tailored threads for all kinds of situations:

1. General Brainstorming: Ask your novel about a location, or about a character, and bounce ideas back and forth.
2. Character Sheets: Formulate a character’s backstory, or about their motivations, and see what they come up with.
3. Plot Development: Ask your novel about a plot point, or about a character’s next step, and see what they come up with.
4. World Building: Ask your novel about a location, or about a character, and bounce ideas back and forth.

How to use it

To start a chat, simply click on the “New Chat” button in tab bar when opening the Workshop (Tinker). The system also automatically creates a new chat thread for you when you open the page for easier access.

You can then start chatting with your novel by typing in the input field at the bottom of the page. The AI will respond to your messages in the chat thread.

Chat threads can be renamed as well as favourited so you can easily find them again later.

If you’re unhappy with the AI’s response, you can click on the “Retry” button on the answer to generate a new message.
